"I have known Yemi for around six years, way back to when he was a young aspiring trainer at Fit To Go. My kids and I have both done Personal Training at Fit To Go for a number of years on and off.
Unfortunately for me, an injury took me out of the gym game when I injured my back. I was unable to exercise for 2 years let alone walk, which drove me crazy. After prolonged medication for the pain, I put on a lot of weigh which got me quite depressed and angry with myself.
Once I found out Yemi was opening Fit To Go across the road from my work he suggested I come into the gym 3 days a week for a 10 minute walk on the treadmill to build up my stamina. After 3 months I was able to increase this to 30 minutes and then eventually able to join classes. I started attending classes 3 times a week with a suggested calorie intake from Yemi and I lost 10kgs in 6 months.
After I returned from a holiday with my family, Yemi suggested that I do the 10 Week Body To Go Challenge to get back on track and to give me weight a little more push! Originally I hesitated, but after I went along to the information night I thought I would give it a ago.
Starting at 111.1kgs with a group of amazing 14 other members we started our journey of love, blood, sweet and determination. Our first challenge was the 1000 Steps after the second week of training. I thought I was going to die!
It took me 45 minutes to climb it but with support and determination from the other challenge members, I got up there. After that, I promised myself I would do it again after I got under 100kgs, which I did and was able to cut off 10 minutes from my time.
Today I am proud to say I have lost a total weight of 13.9kgs in 10 the week challenge, which brings my total weight loss to 23kgs over 12 months. I am so happy with the results and I am looking forward to doing the next challenge."

“After over 3 years of giving up on my health and fitness, and not having much of a work/ life balance with a demanding job, which required constant travel, I decided 2017 was the year to take back control.
Fit To Go’s Mind & Body 10 week transformation with trainers, Yemi and Renee, was the best decision I made to step back into a healthier and more active lifestyle.
Having previously competed at high level basketball, netball and athletics, I knew training at Fit To Go was the place I needed to rebirth my passion for fitness. Fit To Go boast a positive training environment, supportive and encouraging members and passionate trainers that use realistic and basic methods to transform lives.
With limited knowledge and experience in weight training, I was very nervous about joining a program of this magnitude, however head trainer Yemi’s reassurance gave me comfort, with it’s simple philosophy, “Take each day as it comes and remember why you came on this journey.” “Together we all achieve” and knowing I wasn’t alone gave me comfort to succeed.
The program was well constructed to ensure correct and proper training technique, training intensity, daily macro and calories intake, and balanced meal planning with variety, as well as accountability, motivation and fantastic support from the coaches and other participants.
During the program I lost 8kg, -31.09 % fat change, and -6.8 % fat loss. I was beyond excited with my results, but even more stoked to have finally committed to living a healthier lifestyle.
